Publicado en 1996, es el segundo libro de relatos de Martín Rejtman y supuso una revolución para l. a. literatura argentina, que en aquel momento, como si hubiesen escaseado los clichés, pocos notaron.
Estas historias extraordinarias aún pueden leerse como si hubiesen sido escritas mañana, en tanto los únicos signos del paso del tiempo que se detectan en ellas no le pertenecen al texto sino al mundo que lo rodea («la sospecha de que también los angeles realidad es idiota», como anotara Graciela Speranza).
Al igual que en «Rapado» (1992) y «Literatura y otros cuentos» (2005), brilla aquí l. a. enorme capacidad del autor y cineasta para convertir lo cotidiano en algo asombroso, y viceversa.
